Description: (click show to see it)
Has this ever happened to you? You're on your honeymoon,
just trying to start your life as a normal couple, when suddenly you
have no idea where you are or why it's raining. The NavMan N40i NavPix GPS is ready for just this problem.
The NavMan N40i NavPix GPS
knows the roads like it was the trusted guide in an old R.K.O. movie.
The included United States Maps will make it easy for you to plot the
best path away from the science department of your beloved American
university. Once you're underway, the built-in "Fuel" and "Park"
buttons let you know where to get gas or a safe place to leave the car.
You won't have to go up to that old castle. But if you do, you'll know
that the NavMan N40i NavPix GPS is slim,
reliable and accurate. This may not help you at the door, but it will
mean one less worry when you see a room full of people doing pelvic
The NavMan N40i NavPix GPS
lets you look up a location by complete address, which will provide the
best route away from that mad scientist in fishnets who is grinning at
you. The Journey View lets you see the whole picture, from what came
before to where you're trying to be. There's a finger-friendly
interface (the mad scientist will love that) and a large 3.5"
toucha-toucha-toucha-touchscreen. Want to stay for meat loaf? If you
do, the Advanced Motorway Navigation will help you plan a new route and
make up for lost time.
However, the most interesting feature of the NavMan N40i NavPix GPS
is the integrated digital camera that saves what they call NavPix. You
can make these NavPix of any place you like, creating the perfect
rose-tinted memory, then calling up the route by image to find your way
back any time you want. This could come in handy when the local
riff-raff decides to send you away before you're ready to leave.
The NavMan N40i NavPix GPS will help you be where you dream. Just promise us you won't go to any game shows in Denton.

Sometimes it's boring just being cuddly. Sometimes you gotta just
cut loose, split a beer, and let a friend play with your squeeze box.
That's the nice thing about having a bear as a buddy. They like to be
alone a lot, sure, but when they come out of the cave they're always up
for some fun. Bears are the traveling salesmen of the wild; they have a
territory they have to cover. One day you'll see them dancing happily
beside your cabin, the next you'll hear they're snoring on some
stranger's porch, way on the other side of the lake. Don't take it
personally. That's just what bears like to do. It doesn't mean they
aren't loyal. They'll never forget their friends. And as you can see,
they certainly do have cute noses.

OK, we've had our fun. It was a hoot for us, doing our zany "Gift
Week" thing last week, selling bonsai trees, bon-bons and all manner of
miscellany. It was probably even good for us to get that out of our
system. But there comes a time when those of us afflicted with
dilettantistic impulses have to steer back off the sidetrack and get on
the main line again. You know, refocus on what we do best. Otherwise,
whaddya end up with? Michael Jordan hitting .200 for the Birmingham
Barons, that's what.
So we're back in the wine biz, boys, and what better offer to come home to than this week's classic quartet from Vino Noceto?
Noceto proprietors Suzy and Jim Gullett were obsessing over the
Sangiovese grape way back when the now-Governor was still pinching
behinds on the set of Conan the Barbarian, and their
experience shows. (Ask them what is best in life. They'll say: "To
crush the grapes, see them dribbling before you, and hear the
exclamations of the oenophiles.")
boutique-style beginnings in the gold country of beautiful Amador
County, Noceto's grown to a nine-thousand-case outfit. Here's a select
sample of their wares:
First, take two bottles of the
aught-five Sangiovese. Noceto's 16th vintage flagship wine is packed
with the ripe, forward, cran-cherry-berry fruit that marks their style.
A versatile food wine, it goes especially nicely with tomato-based
dishes, pasta, pizza, and anything from salmon to lamb. Should genetic
experimentation continue unchecked, this will be the wine you're going
to want with your half-fish, half-ovine amalgam "lambon" in the
Next, try the aught-four Reserve
Sangiovese on for size. It's a complex, well-balanced, fruit-packed
blend of selected lots of the best fruit. These grapes were the Dean's
List of their class, and the resultant wine is rich-flavored,
full-bodied, deep-colored and lingers on the finish like the optimistic
bachelors at the stage door of the Rockettes' Christmas show at Radio
Finally, here's a bottle of Noceto's aught-four
Ferrero Zinfandel. From the 1917 and 1947 vineyards of Ferrero Ranch,
this elegant, fruit-forward, old-vine Zinfandel is the friendly sort of wine that asks you how you've been, then listens--but really listens--to your answer, then tells you to let it know if there's anything it can do for you, and you know it's being totally sincere.
Noceto's 25-acre Shenandoah Valley estate was crawling with prospectors
a century and a half ago, but to our way of thinkin', the real riches
are only coming out of the ground now. Mike Dunne of the Sacramento Bee
says "Vino Noceto's flagship Sangiovese is about as pure an expression
of the varietal as you are going to find in California." Dan Berger of Vintage Experiences
calls theirs "the best Chianti-style Sangioveses in California."
And us? Well, we call 'em just the thing to get us back in accordance with our prime directive.
